As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

A public Waqf is where the beneficiaries are the public at large. In other words, the Waqf’s proceeds or usufruct (manfa’ah) will be used for public interest (maslahah aammah) such as hospitals, mosques, public restrooms, public water dispensers, etc.
