As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

According to Islamic law, a Waqf can be specified for certain people or for people with certain attributes. When these attributes are present in any person, they will be entitled for funding from the Waqf. When those attributes are no longer present, they will not be entitled to the proceeds of the Waqf. These attributes and the governance of the Waqf in this manner must be clearly stipulated in the Waqf governing documents.
